    Openfire 4.0.3 - error start configuration

      Hi

      i have windows 2008r2 64bit, intsall java 8

      step 1)

      setup openfire on c:\openfire

      step 2)

      start openfire.exe as Administrator

      step 3)

      press button Launch Admin - open in IE link for first configuration

      step 4)

      configuration: english > localhost > embedded database > default > error

      HTTP ERROR 500

      Problem accessing /setup/setup-profile-settings.jsp. Reason:

          Server Error

      uninstall/reinstall - not working.

          You don't have to run it as admin if it is not installed into Program files. And i guess you are already doing this with a user having admin rights.

           

          Can you try it with another browser (maybe even connecting remotely as you probably do not wish to administer it all the time by connecting directly to the server)? IE on the server has restrictions. I guess you have already disabled IE Enchanced Security mode, but maybe this is not enough.
