SparkWeb - logon failure from external hosts

Hi,

my sparkweb clients can connect from lan, i am able to open the logon page from an external host but receive "not authorized" messages when i try to logon. i use the following syntax: <user> @ <ip address> <password>.

i punched the holes in my firewall probably correct since spark clients are able to connect to the server.

clearly there is something i havent understood about the web logons dependencies, so any help is welcome.
